We have an excellent opportunity for a German speaking Event Coordinator to join a business trade fair and exhibition company with strong links to Germany. LOCATION Central London office, ideally fully office based but some remote working / hybrid possible, but some in-office work essential. COMPANY BACKGROUND Our client is a niche, successful business from the exciting business of trade fairs and business exhibitions, working with many UK based companies that embark on exhibiting at some of Europe’s most prestigious business events that take place in Germany. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Have responsibility for a portfolio of overseas trade shows (approx. 20 shows) from varied industries (sports, automobile, toys for example) that take place mostly in Germany and other countries in Europe. Generate interest to UK based potential exhibitors of current and future events throughout the year. Regularly keep contact and relationship with UK based exhibitors throughout the event time scale and after show contact. Carry out email marketing campaigns and attending competitive events. Media planning and buying, writing copy, relationship management with associations and press, organising press events, preparing monthly sales reports and maintaining and updating a CRM database. Working alongside the Managing Director and helping them as and when needed. Raising paperwork using the accounts system to include delivery notes and invoices. Manage any administration and correspondence required by clients. Feedback to the management on events. CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE / SKILLS Fluency in English is essential and also fluency or an excellent level of German is a strong preference. Ideally educated to degree level but this is not essential. Previous commercial experience such as sales administration, project managing, account managing is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given. Excellent people, communication and presentation skills. Strong attention to detail. Be willing to travel to Germany to attend trade fairs and exhibitions. SALARY c£30,000.
