2025 Graduate Farm Vet at ProStock Vets, Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire
Prostock is a rapidly expanding, progressive and forward-thinking farm-only practice.
Our base is in Carmarthen, with branches in Cardigan, Lampeter, Gorseinon and Llangadog. Carmarthenshire is easily accessible at the end of the M4, with the Brecon Beacons and the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast within easy reach, and the busy cities of Swansea and Cardiff both within an hour’s drive. The team has a good cross-section of ages and experience to deal with the predominantly dairy-based workload with seasonal beef and sheep work. We have 26 clinical vets and 1 ATT tester, as well as an expanding vet-tech department. The practice actively encourages CPD, with both certificate and diploma holders present. We also have a progressive approach to farm vetting including laparoscopic surgery, the use of Data Interpretation programs (Total Vet, Dairy Comp305), pelvic scoring, regular internal CPD and numerous farmer-training courses. Due to our location, situated in a cattle-dense area, and the ever-expanding clientele, we are looking for a new grad to join our team in 2025. The new-grad package includes the following: 5 days/year CPD allowance (more on application and if relevant) Loyalty holiday bonus On-call shadowing procedures Day off after on-call OOH calls bonus BCVA/SVS (or membership of choice) Equally shared rota (currently 1:6), with 4 on call every night and good back-up for new grads.
