consultancy team
made up of transport, energy, sustainability, carbon accounting and applied data science specialists to provide integrated solutions to our clients.
Our consultancy staff work closely with our software and product developers to produce innovative and uniquely insightful digital tools to successfully deliver our projects.
About the Role
City Science is looking to grow its team of transport planners working across our Net Zero and broader consulting offer to support our decarbonisation mission. This role requires highly talented individuals who can take a proactive role in problem solving. Successful candidates must be able to show high aptitude in communication, mathematics and analytical problem solving. A Masters in Environmental Studies, Geography, Sustainability or equivalent, is preferable.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and contribute to a range of deliverables, applying our cutting-edge tools that support clients to plan, monitor, evidence and visualise their decarbonisation pathway
Support staff internally to provide insights, meeting or exceeding industry standard practices
Contribute to client deliverables and work flexibly to meet emerging need
Collaborate across teams and grow relationships between consultancy professionals and software developers
Drive new technologies and integrated ways of working
Communicate the case for decarbonisation through evidence-led advisory
Minimum Qualifications:
BSc 2:1 or better in a STEM subject (1st class degree, PhD or higher-level qualification desirable)
Able to demonstrate very strong communication, mathematical and numerical skills
Drive to learn and develop policy, communication and technology skills across our business offer (experience and/or self-taught skills desirable)
Excellent problem solver
Can demonstrate ability to work as part of a team, collaborating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
Proven science communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences
Passion to make the case for, and execute, decarbonisation
