Job Description This role is a Manager (M2) Career Band. Your role as Design Manager: Understand brand needs and customer preferences, aligning them with briefs (provided by Brand teams) to inform the brand/site property design (cost, quality, proposition, customer experience, etc.).

Develop design concepts (refurbishment and new site projects) and templates, which reflect brand standards and enhance the guest experience.

Establish and maintain property design guidelines that reflect the brand’s customer journey & experience, aesthetic and functional requirements.

In partnership with Property, support design projects, including initial scoping, concept creation, detailed design, and design execution, ensuring quality and consistency standards are met.

In partnership with Property, review, select, and oversee the work of external design consultants, architects, and contractors to reach the agreed outcome.

Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and Property teams to ensure designs align with brand objectives, customer needs, and operational requirements.

Partner with Property and Finance to develop and manage project budgets, tracking spending and ensuring cost-effective design solutions (and templating where appropriate).

Partner with transformation teams to propose and pilot new concepts embedding sustainable materials and technologies that enhance the customer experience and operational efficiency.

Conduct post-project reviews to gather feedback and apply learnings to future projects.

What you’ll bring… Experience in property design or architecture, with a focus on hospitality, F&B, or pub/retail environments. Proficient in design software. Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask across multiple projects. Ability to interpret brand standards creatively while ensuring functional and operational efficiency. #LI-AP1
