About the Role As Podiatrist Senior Offender Health, you will be required to assess and treat patients within the HMP setting who qualify for Podiatry, determine clinical diagnosis and podiatry treatment indicated, and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.

Your Day to Day Key Responsibilities: To manage own clinical caseload. To maintain professional standards. To comply with all PPH standards, policies and procedures. Clinical Responsibilities: To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care, ensuring a high standard of clinical care. To interpret and analyse clinical and non-clinical facts to form accurate diagnosis and prognoses in a wide range of highly complex conditions, recommend the best course of intervention, and develop comprehensive discharge plans. To represent Premier externally (locally, regionally, and nationally) regarding services provided to patients. To undertake comprehensive assessments of patients, including those with complex presentations, using investigative and analytical skills, and formulate individualised management and treatment plans. To accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients and organise this effectively and efficiently with regard to clinical priorities and use of time. To demonstrate highly developed dexterity, coordination, and palpatory senses for assessment and manual treatment of patients. To provide spontaneous and planned advice, teaching, and instruction to patients' relatives and carers. To provide advice to other Podiatry colleagues and GPs. To provide specialist advice, teaching, and training to other members of the MDT as required. To communicate effectively with patients and carers to maximise rehabilitation potential. To assess capacity, gain valid informed consent, and work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment. To be an active member of the company CPD programme unless exclusions apply. Professional Responsibilities: To maintain own clinical professional development (CPD) by keeping abreast of new trends and developments. To be an active member of the CPD training programme by attending and delivering presentations and training sessions. To communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all colleagues to ensure delivery of a coordinated service. To participate in the staff appraisal scheme and Personal Development Plan (PDP). To undertake the measurement and evaluation of your work through Evidence Based Practice projects, audits, and outcome measures. To demonstrate a sound understanding of Clinical Governance and Risk Management. Organisational Responsibilities: To be responsible for your area of work, as agreed with the Senior Operations Manager. To decide priorities for patient management in accordance with best clinical practice. To be responsible for equipment used in carrying out Podiatry duties. To maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date documentation. To be actively involved in the monthly collection of appropriate data and statistics. To be aware of Health and Safety aspects of your work and implement necessary policies. To comply with company policies and procedures and to be involved in reviewing and updating them. To undertake any other duties that might be considered appropriate by the Senior Operations Manager. Minimum Requirements: Postgraduate qualifications. HCPC and SOCAP registered. Evidence of relevant experience within podiatry. Experience with more advanced podiatry such as nail surgery and biomechanics. Rewards & Benefits: 28 days annual leave (plus 3 buy back days).
