In 2022, a UK branch was established to provide engineering consulting services, particularly in Control and Instrumentation (C&I) and electrical engineering, supporting the UK nuclear industry. Job Overview: The company is seeking an experienced CAD Engineer to join the Layout team for the construction of two EPR reactors at the HPC site. This role involves providing technical support related to plant design, performing modifications to 3D models, and contributing to the production of technical documents that support construction. Key Responsibilities: Modify 3D PDMS models for site changes that affect design, ensuring consistency and adherence to modeling rules. Work on components such as equipment, civil structures, steelwork, piping, HVAC ducts, instrumentation, electrical trays, boxes, and supports. Perform 2D and 3D modeling activities to assist the Layout team in responding to site queries. Create 2D drawings for the installation team, accounting for site adaptations. Liaise with design offices and perform technical analysis for site requests, assessing the impact on various disciplines. Conduct 2D-3D checks and produce technical documents to support construction, such as Equipment Location Book and Layout Dummy Bedplate Drawing. Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years experience in design office work, with expertise in piping, electrical, HVAC, and civil engineering. At least 3 years of experience in the nuclear sector. Proficiency in PDMS / E3D and AutoCAD. Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of TEKLA software and experience in plant layout engineering is a plus. Fluency in French is an additional asset. Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will have a solid background in design office work, with in-depth knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines (piping, electrical, HVAC, and civil engineering). Experience in the nuclear sector, proficiency in PDMS/E3D, AutoCAD, and possibly TEKLA, along with strong communication skills, is essential for success in this role.
