Purpose of the Job: The objective of this position is to provide the control, software development, and instrumentation assistance to the Control Systems Engineer in support of the site's continuous improvement initiatives and current projects.

Main Accountabilities:

Ensure adherence to all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) protocols within the designated area of responsibility. Oversee site control system projects, encompassing front-end design, programming, commissioning, and the transition to operational status. Manage external project Control and Instrumentation (C&I) resources, verifying their qualifications and ensuring the completion of all relevant documentation. Address daily troubleshooting of issues pertaining to instrumentation and control systems. Act as the deputy for the Control Systems Engineer. Maintain ongoing communication between C&I and production personnel regarding all aspects of C&I. Provide site support outside regular hours when requested for issues related to instrumentation and control systems. Minimum Requirements: HND or HNC in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience within chemical manufacturing ideally at a COMAH site. Experience of plant control systems would be advantageous.
