Chesterfield, MO Senior Wastewater Engineer – Chesterfield, MO GBA, a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm, has a career opportunity in our Water Environment Group located in Chesterfield, MO. GBA provides comprehensive services including field data collection, master planning, asset management, design, and construction management services. We are looking for a Senior Engineer for our wastewater systems group. The ideal candidate should have significant design experience and needs to be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, while working in the best interests of our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in a consulting environment with a proven ability to design components in wastewater treatment, pump stations, and/or collection systems. The role will suit a self-motivated individual who is aspiring to take a lead role in preparing studies and design documents along with training other staff. Responsibilities Provide design expertise for wastewater system design and master planning projects Perform the design of projects for both rehabilitation and new construction, and provide quality control reviews Be a detailed person with good communication skills Prepare calculations, design drawings, and specifications for wastewater system projects Review existing reports and studies for information related to studies and design projects Prepare written studies and project design technical reports Coach and mentor staff Assist in project pursuits and proposal preparation Develop scope and fee proposals for potential projects Qualifications BS in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering degree 8+ years of experience in wastewater treatment, pump stations, and/or collection system design, or similar experience Professional Engineering certification in the State of Kansas or Missouri Possess effective communication skills both written and oral Must be able to work effectively both on a team and individually Candidate must be adept at working on fast-paced projects Travel:
Some overnight travel may be necessary for this position. Some occasional local day travel will be required.
