Safety Case Engineer – Permanent or contract Cumbria Your future team: Assystem is a well-established leader in the nuclear decommissioning sector. Join our team as Safety Case Engineer within our Nuclear Decommissioning Business Unit. Support the Safety Case Manager (SCM) in the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of Safety Cases for Analytical services and infrastructure, ensuring clear, user-friendly documentation for all stakeholders. Your Missions: Provide high-quality safety case advice

and documentation for Safety Case development and implementation. Collaborate with other disciplines

to develop operations schedules, engineering schedules, operator instructions, maintenance instructions, and training packages. Facilitate communication

between relevant stakeholders during the verification of the safety case. Present safety case documents

to safety committees on behalf of the SCM (as required). Oversee the production

and completion of Safety Case Implementation Plans (SCIPs). Produce/review PMPs

to ensure safety standards are met. Support operator briefings

regarding safety case changes. Engage with regulatory bodies

Essential Experience: Safety case documentation:

Able to understand safety case documentation, engineering drawings, and related information. Communication and teamwork:

Effective communication skills with individuals and groups in various teams and business areas. IT proficiency:

Able to use standard IT packages and databases. Independent and compliant work:

Able to work independently while adhering to safety, quality, risk, and security standards. Analytical skills:

Experience solving technical issues with good analytical thinking. Planning skills:

Strong planning abilities to manage tasks effectively. Resilience:

Self-motivated with a high level of resilience. Desirable Experience: Competence in Sellafield safety case requirements

for Safety Case Advisors. Degree or relevant experience

in a related field. Previous operational or engineering experience

in a support team for operational plants. Knowledge of safety case implementation

and regulatory interface. Familiarity with relevant Site Licence Conditions. Essential Qualifications: Degree

within a relevant discipline. Ability to obtain SC Clearance. Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
