As a CI/EHS/Engineering Specialist you will lead the execution of Continuous Improvement projects of low complexity within a site/function to embed best practices, promote a continuous improvement mindset and refine non-value added activities. You will be based in Higham Ferrers, UK (Manufacturing sites: meat stocks and gravies) and will report to the site Operations head with a dotted line to the CI Business partner EAME. You Will: Contribute to the design of Site/Department strategies and deployment plans Support in deploying CI Awareness workshops to all teams Develop people by mentoring for basic CI Methodologies Coach project teams in applying root cause analysis Help implement performance management reviews at shift, department and site level including the definition of lagging and leading indicators Support the CI Manager/Lead/Site or Business Unit to prepare the CIMA Assessment and follow up with the teams based on CIMA outcome Coach teams in applying relevant CI methodologies for improving Processes and Asset Efficiencies Support process owners on development of CI related work standards Support specific business improvement projects Coach project teams on applying Lean and Six Sigma tools during project execution phases Guide CI project implementation, monitor resources, team accountabilities, change requests, deadlines, milestones, change management, communications, and provide updates EHS 30% Support EHS Manager and projects as an EHS specialist, help to deliver on site training based on site and regional road maps Support on site Risk assessments working with department Managers Facilitate tool box talks and coordinating other EHS training Be part of incident, injury and complaint investigations and propose corrective actions to be implemented Monitor the ppm calendar and book the yearly visits Request RAMS for all planned visits Collaborate with contractors when they arrive on-site Book in contractors and completing the permit to work Make sure a detailed report is done by the site contractor outlining any finds and quotations to follow Monitor and book any calibration work for example Ph meters, temperature probes, pressure switches, metal detectors, flow meters and scales Order and make sure we have seals, o'rings, liners, scrape gates or gaskets for 6 x pumps on-site and 3 x metal detectors Work with the insurance company to make sure all safety valves on-site are certified and tested yearly Order seals, air cylinders and piston heads for 3 x pneumatic filler heads and volumetric filling systems Your professional profile includes: University degree 2+ years of working experience, with at least 1 year experience in CI Results on leading improvement projects and training Exposure to diverse teams and projects Holiday entitlement - 25 days and Bank Holidays Life Assurance and Income Protection Health Insurance Pension Scheme Discounted Shopping Club Cycle to Work Scheme Employee Assistance Programme Access to exclusive perfumes Free on-site parking #LI-Hybrid At Givaudan, you contribute to delightful taste and scent experiences that touch people’s lives.
