Following the release of ARRS GP funding, we are looking for a newly qualified GP (within 2 years) to join Morley and District Primary Care Network on a fixed-term salaried contract until 31 March 2025. To be eligible for this role, you must be within two years of the certificate of completion of training at the start date of employment and have not previously held a substantive post as a General Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking, enthusiastic GP. Main duties of the job

The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients. They will work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, and maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team. Morley and District PCN has a well-established network made up of 6 GP practices covering a population of 63,000 patients. It is in a vibrant and busy market town 5 miles outside of Leeds. The role may involve working across any site within our PCN. We are rapidly developing our multi-disciplinary workforce, embedding our roles, and developing our team that makes a real difference to our patients and our practices. Job responsibilities

Play a crucial role in the provision of primary healthcare services. Undertake surgery consultations including face-to-face, digital, online, and telephone delivery of enhanced service appointments and same-day access. Deliver highly effective medical care to the entitled population. Provide services commensurate with the primary care contract. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance. Effective management of long-term conditions. Process administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests, and other associated administrative tasks. On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy, and guidance. Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload. Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process. Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice. Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas). Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required. Prepare and complete the revalidation process. Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team. Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all times. Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all times. Person Specification
