The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical care for the patients on Holly Ward. The unit is an organic ward, with male patients suffering from disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia. It is a 17 bedded unit.
Main duties of the job
Undertake assessments of new/current patients on the ward. Diagnose and formulate management plans in complex presentations. Provide management in treatment resistant and complex presentations. Assessment and management of risk including vulnerability, suicide risk, risks to health and safety, and risk of harm to others. Preparation of reports for governance related activities, whether it be for hearings or meetings. Work in a collaborative way with multidisciplinary teams including external partners. The MDT has additional admin support, along with senior pharmacists, occupational therapists, advocates, psychologists, and other professionals. Work in partnership with psychiatrists from partner providers such as Liaison services, Home-based Treatment Team, and Community Services.
