£56,000-£58,000 basic salary, plus pension and bonus (approx. £2,000) Benefits:

Be a big part of a small management team in a manufacturer that invests in new equipment and has a strong order book. The Production Manager will bring leadership to the manufacturing team, focusing on manufacturing output and upholding quality processes, including H&S, housekeeping, production planning, and knowing the daily numbers. Core Responsibilities: Driving the daily productivity drum beat and taking overall responsibility for production planning; understanding the manufacturing order intake, production labour requirements, and machine manufacturing capacity to deliver the production plan effectively. Monitoring production output using manufacturing tools like short interval control (SIC) or ANDON to develop a catch-up action plan. Understanding current production capacity and seeking capacity growth through skills training and automation opportunities. Leading workplace culture and quality standards; developing a culture that adheres to quality assurance procedures. Being a visible leader, openly challenging instances of poor standards, and praising correct processes and good standards. Organising shifts and labour availability, return to works, and training records. Taking responsibility for employee engagement in the manufacturing team and developing a “great place to work” culture. Ideal Candidate:
This job will suit a Production Manager with: A visible manufacturing manager, shop floor based; able to guide and mentor staff and be a beacon of what good looks like in terms of workplace disciplines, clear and regular communication about shift targets, acceptable behaviour, and praise where it is due. A track record of understanding current manufacturing capacity, and the ability to plan medium to longer-term capacity growth through skills training, equipment assessment, automation, and machine optimisation. Experience of working to correct quality procedures, perhaps in an ISO accredited company. The ability to develop a culture of energy, professionalism, and team cohesion. Commuting Area:
