Project Engineer – Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS)

to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our Chief Engineer, you will be the technical responsible EDS, playing a supporting role in the design, whilst taking project responsibility through the development and implementation of advanced electrical distribution systems (EDS) for our groundbreaking automotive projects. This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity from our offices near Leamington Spa. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field. Define electrical interfaces across function groups; manage commodity attributes like quality, costs, timing, and weight. Ensure commodities are delivered within budget, coordinating and managing suppliers through development builds. Oversee design tasks for low and high voltage systems, including wiring, fusing systems, power distribution, and component packaging. Prepare and manage technical documentation, data sheets, schematics in conjunction with other function groups, our technical partners and Tier 1 suppliers. Lead fault identification and resolution, manage issues via 8D processes, and oversee Harness Change Control, DFMEA, DVP&R activities. Coordinate with departments like Quality, Manufacturing, and Logistics, providing support and training to Manufacturing and Service teams. Who you are

Experience in automotive new product development processes, milestones, and deliverables, with hands-on experience in electrical wiring and power distribution system design. Good experience of vehicle electrical systems, ECU components, circuit design, EMC performance, harness reworks, CATIA V5/V6, and other visualization tools, plus working knowledge of standards and regulations. Working knowledge of automotive networks, standards and development processes, including Tier 1 and component suppliers, and understanding of hybrid and electric vehicle architectures.
