C++ Software Developer London - Hybrid Working (4 Days in the Office)

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented C++ Software Developer to join a global team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a sophisticated trading risk platform. This platform manages critical functionalities such as trade capture, position management, profit/loss computation, inventory/locate management, and internal order routing.

The systems require high performance, resilience, and the ability to process large volumes of rapidly changing data efficiently in both live and historical scenarios. The platform is currently undergoing a significant transformation to adopt a service-oriented architecture, offering a great opportunity for engineers passionate about tackling complex problems in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the development and enhancement of the trading risk platform, ensuring it meets performance and scalability demands. Design and implement solutions for processing and propagating large datasets efficiently. Collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality software aligned with engineering best practices. Participate in the architecture and modernization of the platform. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 4+ years of C++ development experience on Linux-based systems. Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Nice to Have:

Experience with scalable, large-scale, or distributed systems and service-oriented architecture. Proficiency in optimizing code for high-performance applications. Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, AMPS, QPID). Knowledge of Python, Bash, and/or Q/KDB.
