Our commitment to a flexible and hybrid working culture Overview: Contributes significantly to coding, testing, and maintaining software systems, with a focus on technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving. This is a professional role for individuals with significant experience in software engineering. Accountabilities: Contributes actively to the development and delivery of software features and bug fixes Ensures code quality by writing and executing comprehensive tests May lead the development work within a smaller project or cross-functional product team Coach and mentor more junior members of the team (including Graduate and Intern engineers) Writes clean, scalable, and testable code Participates in code reviews to learn best practices and coding standards Participates in the technical testing of code Contributes to the development of features or bug fixes Stays up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software engineering to continuously improve personal skills and the quality of products Skills: Demonstrates strong software development skills with an ability to write efficient, clean, and maintainable code Possesses effective collaboration skills and the ability to work within a team to solve complex problems Exhibits strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting and debugging Proficient in multiple programming languages and development tools relevant to Arqiva’s technology stack Familiarity with programming languages commonly used in the industry Good problem-solving, analytical and logical skills to troubleshoot and solve complex software problems Good written and verbal communication skills, necessary for effective teamwork, documentation, and stakeholder engagement Knowledge & Experience: A few years of experience in a software development role with a proven track record of delivering quality software solutions Experience working in cross-functional teams and building products and platforms Qualifications: Science/Computer Science degree or relevant industry experience Why join Arqiva?
