21 hours per week Who we are Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. Our aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, we campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research. What you’ll do Lead and manage high-quality, therapeutic registered day services and community supports for people with dementia, those at greater risk of dementia, and their families and carers. Ensure services meet Alzheimer Scotland’s vision for unique therapeutic, highly person-centred support. Manage day-to-day operations and promote services with local stakeholders within Health and Social Care. Oversee the referral and assessment process. Work collaboratively with the Head of Services to ensure safe practice and delivery of high-quality, person-centred therapeutic day services. Evidence, review, and continually improve the quality of services, participating in internal audits and Care Inspectorate inspections. Provide strong line management and leadership to your team, setting clear objectives and outcomes. What you’ll have Experience of managing a team in a social care, health, or similar setting, or a clear understanding of key principles and good practices in team management. Knowledge of the Health and Social Care Standards, SSSC codes of practice, and the Care Inspectorate. Understanding of dementia, mild cognitive impairment, and Brain Health, with experience supporting people living with dementia and their families. A recognised professional qualification in health, social work, or a related field, to SCQF Level 7 (SVQ 3).
