Job Title : Systems Test Engineer (FTC 12 months)
Location : Sowerby Bridge
Job Purpose :
Collaborate with the Technology Team to ensure products meet specifications and certification requirements through testing, validation, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and execute test plans for electronics hardware, firmware, and product enclosures.
Identify, report, and resolve product defects.
Validate products against specifications and ensure certification compliance.
Maintain accurate test records and provide input for production validation.
Contribute to product development with a focus on cost, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience :
5+ years of systems/product testing in a high-tech environment (lighting or connected devices preferred).
Relevant qualifications (ISTQB, electronics/electrical/software).
Proficiency in embedded C, unit/system testing, and full firmware development lifecycle.
Desired Skills :
Experience in test automation and functional programming (Python, JavaScript, C++).
Ability to create technical test specifications and implement test plans.
Competencies :
Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset.
Strong attention to detail and report writing skills.
Effective communicator capable of influencing project outcomes.
