City: Sheffield | Region: South Yorkshire | Country: United Kingdom | Fronteer Art Fronteer Gallery is looking for textile artwork by artists from across the UK for our exhibition Contemporary Textiles. Artists are welcome to submit work on any subject as long as it is a textile piece or related to textiles. There is no theme for this exhibition. Submission Guidelines: Artists can submit one piece of work. A short description of no more than 150 words may be included. Wall-mounted work can be any size or shape but should take up no more than 70x70cm of wall space. Sculptural work should fit on a 30x30cm plinth and should not exceed 50cm height x 30cm x 30cm. The exhibition will run from 18th February - 6th March 2025. Private view event on Saturday, 15th February 4-6 pm. It is free to apply; only successful artists will pay a fee of £40. In return for your fee, you will get an event evening with free drinks, invigilation throughout, and promotion of the exhibition online through social media posts. Important Dates: Submission deadline: 20th January 2025. Successful artists will be contacted by 22nd January 2025. Work sent by post should reach us by 6th February 2025. Work can be delivered in person during gallery opening hours between 28th January - 6th February 2025. Work can be offered for sale during the exhibition, with a commission charge of 10%. How to Submit: Wall-Mounted Work: Submit one piece of work, no more than 70x70cm. Provide the completed size of your work, including frames or mounts. All work should be ready to hang with suitable hanging attachments. Submit up to 3 images: one of the whole piece and two showing details. Sculpture and 3-D Work: 3-D work should be no bigger than 50cm height x 30cm width x 30cm depth. All work should arrive ready to display. Work can be collected from the gallery between 18th - 27th March 2025. If you would like your work returned by post, a fee will apply. All work must be complete at the time of submission.
