Responsibilities:
Designing, configuring, and managing Palo Alto Networks firewalls and security systems to protect the organization’s network. Monitoring network security, identifying potential threats, and implementing measures to mitigate risks. Developing and maintaining security policies, rules, and configurations to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and address security weaknesses. Collaborating with IT and operations teams to design and implement secure network architectures. Providing technical support and expertise on network security issues, troubleshooting complex security problems. Keeping up to date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats, and recommending improvements to the security posture. Skills/Must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security engineering, with a focus on Palo Alto Networks technologies. Proficiency in configuring and managing Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including PAN-OS, Panorama, and GlobalProtect. Strong knowledge of network security principles, including firewall policies, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems, and threat management. Hands-on experience with security incident response and management. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex security issues. Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or similar are highly desirable. Salary:
$85 per hour
