The Role As a Geotechnical Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality solutions for a range of complex projects. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in geotechnical design, site investigations, and analysis while collaborating with a skilled and supportive team. Key Responsibilities: Conduct site walkovers and foundation inspections. Collect, manipulate, and interpret geotechnical and chemical data for site investigations across diverse schemes. Prepare Geotechnical Desk Studies and Interpretative Reports. Design, procure, and supervise site investigations. Perform detailed geotechnical analysis and design, including foundation design, retaining wall design, and slope stability assessments in accordance with Eurocodes. Prepare Mining Risk Assessments and Remediation Strategies. Provide site support and monitoring during construction contracts. Qualifications and Experience Required: A first degree in Civil Engineering is essential. An MSc in Geotechnical Engineering is highly desirable. A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in geotechnical engineering. Proven experience in geotechnical design under Eurocodes, especially in challenging ground conditions. Proficiency in GI Data Management Software (e.g., Holebase or GInt) is advantageous. Strong report-writing and communication skills. Experience with hydrogeological modeling or GIS would be beneficial but is not essential. A knowledge of geo-environmental assessments is also advantageous. A flexible, enthusiastic approach to working within a team. A valid, clean driving license.
