Purpose of the Role Join the Metrology team as the Metrology Dimensional Analysis Engineer where you'll be responsible for the delivery of automotive dimensional measurement and analysis, creating key partnerships across the complete business to drive dimensional excellence for all the vehicles within the product range of Bentley Motors. This role will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable quality improvement supporting the launch of all new product and all existing product to end of production.

Reporting into the Metrology Technical Lead, your main responsibilities include:

Dimensional measurement of parts, properties or vehicles; assess, measure, create measurement reports, interrogate fitment process to understand the complete overview of the system.

Delivery of department and measurement projects; planning and managing related activities, reporting status, working cross-functionally to deliver project requirements.

Deliver impactful problem analysis - provide root cause analysis via collecting, managing and analysing data to produce analysis reports for business partners followed by steering and monitoring problems to full resolution.

About the Team Metrology is a team of approximately 20 measurement experts working within the Quality function and supporting the whole business throughout the product lifecycle. We strive to positively influence all areas of the business to achieve dimensional excellence.

We utilise state-of-the-art measurement equipment and seek to further innovate to achieve benchmark analysis. We have recently (end of 2024) relocated into a brand new facility in the heart of Bentley. Within the Launch Quality Centre, various technical teams collaborate to deliver quality analysis and improvement supporting both the launch and ongoing production of all of our world class vehicles.

About you - Skills and Experience

Working knowledge/Use of optical and tactile Metrology equipment

Working knowledge of reference points system (RPS), engineering drawing and GD+T

Knowledge of CAD and engineering based software (Catia, KVS for example)

Good understanding on the Product Emergence Process (PEP) or equivalent

Good knowledge of problem solving tools and their application, providing root cause analysis of dimensional deviations

Comprehensive IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
