We are looking to recruit a
Piping Materials Engineer
on a 6 months+ contract based in Leatherhead, Surrey. On Offer:
Competitive hourly pay rate outside IR35, highly likely so engagement via a Ltd Co. is permitted Hybrid working - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home Job Responsibilities:
Develop Piping Materials deliverables including Material Classes considering metallurgy and process conditions. Produce Technical Specifications on Piping Materials, Valves and Special Piping Components. Preparation of Material requisitions for piping items including valves, piping bulks and special piping items. Technical evaluations of vendor submissions and recommendations. Skills / Experience:
Knowledge of applicable industry standards (ASME B31.3, API, BS EN etc). Technical knowledge of Piping Material activities and deliverables. Experience reviewing wall thickness calculations for internal and external pressures in accordance with ASME codes. Experience in the specification of materials including super duplex, stainless steel, carbon steel and GRE. Good communication skills.
