Due to our continued success, we are looking to grow the Planning team and are open to various levels of experience from 2 yrs plus, including Senior, Principal and Associate Director.

We offer hybrid and flexible working in friendly environments, and we can also consider part-time applicants. Although the priority is our Stoke office, we are also open to considering other offices including Bolton, Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, London, Truro, and Edinburgh, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch for an informal chat! We have a well-established Planning and Environment Team based across the country, who deal with an impressive range of projects including renewable energy, waste, industrial and commercial, and major infrastructure. We have an exciting pipeline of projects, particularly in renewable energy, including solar, battery, and wind technologies. A taste of what you will do: Providing advice and guidance on planning and environmental matters to a variety of clients including leading renewable energy developers, utility and infrastructure companies, waste management operators, house builders, land promoters, investment institutions, and others throughout all stages of the planning process. Shaping and assessing the case for development projects, including determining planning strategies. Site appraisals. Pre-application consultation, preparing planning applications and appeals. Planning project management including coordinating in-house and external technical teams. Community consultation. Proposal preparation and some business development activities. Liaison with external parties, including developers, landowners, architects, engineers, local authorities, and the wider multi-disciplinary team. Team supervision and advice. The successful candidate

will have a relevant degree and a strong track record working on medium/large scale planning projects. They should demonstrate a high level of technical competency and quality of work, along with good analytical, communication, interpersonal, and writing skills. The role will require working on a number of projects, so a proven ability to manage your own time and workload within tight timescales and the ability to problem-solve is critical. We place emphasis on staff development and encourage self-directed study and career progression.
