Duties of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer: Attending to breakdowns Planned preventative maintenance will be a daily task as one of the core values of the company Working within a team environment, must be a team player, but also work from own initiative when needed Installation of new machinery as and when needed Ensure always adhering to health and safety procedures Working on a variation of machinery due to the nature of the business Working from drawings both mechanical and electrical with the electrical engineer on shift Welding Fabrication and sheet metal work Desired experience: You must have at least Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds – Apprentice trained) It would be advantageous for you to have HNC and HND qualifications but not essential Ideally have 3 years of experience within a mechanical maintenance engineer position recently Must have strong mechanical knowledge but have basic electrical knowledge also Ideally have welding and fabrication experience Must have worked within a manufacturing maintenance background previously For further details please contact Beth Roberts at Elevation.
