Field Service Diesel Technician
Job Description
A well-established and reputable client of ours is seeking a Field Service Diesel Engineer to add to their Rail business field service team.
The ideal candidate will be a positive team player with a self-starter attitude and have ideally 2 or more years experience maintaining/ repairing large commercial diesel engines. Recent commercial diesel apprenticeship graduates who can demonstrate they have the required aptitude are also encouraged to apply.
Benefits for the Field Service Engineer
£41,760 per annum
Overtime and call-out pay

15% night premium

Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer
Perform rolling stock diesel engine maintenance/repair on client sites
Diagnose engine systems and perform diesel engine repairs
Diagnose and troubleshoot and perform engine system repairs
Diagnose and repair specialized components and controls
Deliver technical advice to our clients
Maintain good housekeeping with the ability to keep company records and complete work orders on equipment in a timely manner
Experience/Qualifications of the Field Service Engineer
2-5 years experience maintaining/repairing diesel engines on job site or vocational/trade school environment
Full & clean valid driver's license
Must be capable of working with heavy components
Apprentice trained and qualified or equivalent Level 3 qualifications or higher
