Mason James are partnered with an industry leading UK food manufacturing business based in the Shropshire area. We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on role, managing a team of Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers on a 4 on 4 off Night / Day shift.
Salary Circa:
£53,200 Key Duties: Assist management in direct oversight of the department's daily operation. Supervise and participate in the completion of the assigned PMs to ensure departmental KPIs. Perform major repairs of mechanical and electrical systems. Develop and maintain relations with the Planned Maintenance Manager, Operations, QA/Technical on manufacturing and operational concerns. Supervise the pre-startup of production equipment. Assign, train, develop, and supervise the work of engineering on shift. Hands-on support to the engineers, ensuring all breakdowns and planned repairs are done effectively. Evolve and improve the written PMs to ensure they are effective and provide value. Good communication skills and ability to discuss issues, attain good feedback. Ensure equipment performance and capability to complete production plans and achieve cost savings.
