Understanding and leveraging the strategy and business drivers Ensure that the plant meets its on-time readiness and on-time delivery targets Improve throughput, reduce operation costs and implement and maintain high quality standards Manage long term pro-active relationships with customers (both internal and external) and suppliers Strong focus on Root Cause Analysis of process and incident delays Coaching and development of managerial levels and high potential candidates Manage the Department on sound business principles Manage and lead departmental Safety drive Qualifications

B-Degree (NQF 8/10) in Metallurgical Engineering and preferably completion of a Management Development Program. Skills and Experience

6 years' relevant experience, preferably in an industrial environment Minimum of 3 years' experience in a managerial role Knowledge of both production and maintenance functions Personal Attributes

Analytical and problem solving skills Strategic thinker Highly motivated Innovative, committed and integrity Quality driven Pro-active, initiative and performance driven Ability to lead and relate with plant personnel
