The Opportunity: As a

Team Leader , you will lead and co-ordinate a team in the operations department ensuring the safe delivery of quality products meeting customer order deadlines.

What You Will Do:

Continually monitor and audit Health & Safety, People, Quality, Velocity and cost metrics within your span of control as per Caterpillar Production System (CPS) guidelines. Run and participate in Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIWs) as part of the Lean process.

Adhere to the company's Health & Safety policy and safe working practices. Report all Health and Safety incidents in line with the company guidelines.

Hold daily start of shift meetings and provide support to the Section Manager, responding to unforeseen safety, quality, staffing, and production matters, liaise with Section Manager with an immediate corrective action plan. Ensure all relevant information is communicated to appropriate departments/personnel. Proactively plan for future quality, staffing, safety and production requirements.

Coach team members and maintain the skills matrix for the team and make recommendations for enhancements.

Prior knowledge of fabrication and/or manufacturing processes.
