Responsibilities
What You'll Do In this hands-on role, you'll: Perform reactive and planned maintenance tasks on plant, CNC machinery, and furnaces, ensuring minimal downtime. Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in electrical control systems, PLCs, CNC drive systems, and temperature controllers. Work with mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic components, to maintain production equipment. Collaborate with suppliers, external contractors, and internal teams to ensure optimal equipment performance. Support the TPM scheme and execute Planned Preventative Maintenance to enhance production efficiency. Document maintenance activities using CMMS software and assist with spare parts management. Participate in plant installations, continuous improvement projects, and training for apprentices or understudies. Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a safe workplace. What You'll Bring We’re looking for someone who is: Experienced:
Ideally apprentice-trained with a qualification such as HNC or BTEC in electrical/electronic engineering. Skilled in Maintenance:
Practical experience working with CNC machinery, electrical control systems, and mechanical components. Qualified:
IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge is desirable. Organised and Proactive:
Strong planning and problem-solving abilities with a can-do attitude. Team-Oriented:
