Milton Keynes The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing team working on a range of actuators and custom product design proposals. This role is key in developing innovative solutions that meet both technical and commercial needs, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and international standards. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for production at facilities in the UK and Europe. Additionally, you will provide technical support to European subsidiaries, assist with troubleshooting, conduct market research, and participate in product testing. Key Responsibilities: Design custom mechanical solutions for actuators and special products Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align designs with best practices Support European subsidiaries with technical enquiries and troubleshooting Conduct product testing and market research Manage multiple projects with guidance from senior engineers or designers Required Skills and Experience: Degree or qualification in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering (minimum HND level) Basic electrical knowledge Experience with 3D modelling (preferably SolidWorks) Ability to manage dynamic workloads and adapt to changing requirements Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Understanding of electro-pneumatic control systems, including circuit diagrams Desirable Skills: Experience in designing jigs, fixtures, tooling, mechatronics, or special purpose machinery If you meet most of the criteria but lack some experience, we still encourage you to apply.
