A vacancy has arisen within our Maritime Crane department for a Service Engineer for Off-Shore Cranes. The role contributes to the success of the Maritime Crane department for Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd by carrying out effective maintenance and repair work on equipment out at customer premises or on site. Ensuring both quality standards and timelines for repair are optimised at all times leading to increased customer confidence and repeat business whilst ensuring outstanding customer service at all times and working within the Company’s key result areas:

Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership. Your responsibilities as a Service Engineer

Carry out servicing, inspection, and repair of all Offshore and Ship crane products and equipment at customer premises or on site or if required at the appropriate depot. Elements of work will include:

Electrical fault diagnosis and repair. Hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair. Diesel engine service and repair including ECU software uploads/downloads. Working at heights. Assisting in building and dismantling both Offshore and Ship Cranes. Working to reasonable deadlines and being responsible for managing own time to comply with companies’ expectations. Work closely with Technical for support and training.

Return all warranty and other return parts cleaned and on time ensuring correct processes for packing and labelling. Ensure all service information is read, understood, and filed. Develop an effective working relationship with the support team at the depot and customers. Maintain a healthy and safe working environment for self and others through a clear understanding of workplace safety requirements and systems. Work with the customer in mind, making sure that quality work standards are maintained consistently and that post-work, the repair site is clean and left in a condition that satisfies the customer. Ensure that self-image is a key contributor to promoting company business, and always maintain both personal image and vehicle condition and cleanliness to an exceptional standard. Proactively seek new opportunities to develop personal skills and look at opportunities out in the field to apply these. To be successful in the Service Engineer role

The successful candidate will require the following: Completion of a recognised apprenticeship to NVQ level 3 in a related industry or equivalent. Team player. Good communicator at all levels. Flexible approach to work. Our Offer
