What do we need De Novo Software, a leading provider of flow cytometry data analysis software products, is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a technical applications specialist. Our company, part of the Dotmatics family, is growing rapidly and offers a dynamic work environment and cutting-edge technology. The successful candidate will be located in the UK close to an area with a high concentration of flow cytometry activity (labs, companies etc). The position is remote/work from home but may require travel to client locations and industry events. This is a 6-month fixed term contract position. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to renew into a longer contract or full time position. In this role you will get to: Provide technical support via phone, email, and online meetings Conduct one-on-one training Write technical documentation, tutorials, manuals etc. Represent De Novo Software and Dotmatics products at trade shows Schedule presentations and demonstrate software in universities and companies Suggest new features and improvements to software Beta testing and issue reporting We are looking for people who
hold a Masters or PhD in biology, chemistry or similar with 3+ years experience with the general principles and practices of flow cytometry, preferably with many different data analysis software packages who can provide technical support for FCS Express. The key skills we are looking for: Flow Cytometry data analysis experience (FCS Express preferred) Extensive general computer usage with common MS Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Expert-level in providing pre and post-installation application support. Familiarity with special flow cytometry techniques that may include spectral cytometry, cell cycle, proliferation, calcium flux analysis, and others Non-flow cytometry data analysis tools, Prism, R, Excel, and others Algorithmic tools for cytometry analysis (e.g. tSNE, flowSOM, UMAP, flowCut, etc) You may also have experience in: Previous technical application specialist or sales experience Use of non-flow cytometry data analysis tools Experience with imaging cytometry or image analysis techniques (Amnis, Cellomics, CytPix, Image segmentation etc.) Clinical flow cytometry GxP and other regulatory lab environments This position may involve approximately 25% travel (predominately in the UK and Europe but also worldwide).
