Are you ready to lead the charge in shaping how Data & AI are governed at Virgin Atlantic? As the Manager - Data & AI Governance, you will be at the forefront of developing and maintaining our enterprise data governance framework, ensuring that our data is accurate, accessible, and effectively managed across analytical, operational, and machine learning use cases.

In this role, you will spearhead the creation and ongoing evolution of the Enterprise Knowledge Graph, working closely with engineering teams to seamlessly integrate this powerful concept with our business systems and data platforms. Your expertise in data access management will be crucial as you define and manage personas, roles and policies, collaborating with technology, security and data protection teams to implement robust controls that meet the highest standards.

Beyond the technical aspects, you will be a leader in fostering a strong data governance culture within Virgin Atlantic. By establishing workshops and training sessions, you will enhance understanding and adherence to governance practices across the organisation, ensuring that everyone is aligned with our core objectives.

Additionally, you will work closely with the Data Protection Office, internal audit, and information security teams to develop and enforce policies related to Responsible AI, ensuring that our use of AI is not only innovative but also ethical and compliant with regulations.

Day to day

Design and implement a comprehensive data governance framework to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of our data assets. Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures. Collaborate with teams from various departments to define data governance requirements and standards. Lead efforts to identify and resolve data quality issues. Establish and maintain a data catalog and metadata management system. Drive the development and implementation of AI governance principles and practices. Provide guidance and support to business and technical teams on data and AI governance matters. About you

Experience in data governance and AI governance in a large organization. Extensive understanding of data governance frameworks, principles, and effective approaches. Experience with data quality management and metadata management. Knowledge of data protection regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and leadership abilities. Strong collaboration skills with diverse teams. Be yourself
