How you will make an Impact (Job Summary) SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Senior Systems Test Engineer, you will be part of Radiodetection's Bristol-based multidisciplinary engineering team, and responsible for the testing and design verification and validation of Radiodetection Locator and CAT products (IoT platform Products) in close cooperation with the New Product Development and Software team. The role requires responsibility for creating product validation/test plans, creating test reports and managing traceable records from concept through release to volume manufacture. Effective communication with the project team is essential to ensuring that the project objectives are met and delivered on time. The jobholder should have an active interest in current and evolving technology and a keenness for developing an understanding of the company’s products and technology. What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities) While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

Identify & establish testing best practices and methods through NPD life cycle (V model) and transform testing function into a world-class operation, with balance of in-house capability and partnerships development. Represent testing through stage gate process from Idea to Launch. Evaluating software, hardware, features, functions and characteristics of the product. Lead testing technical project management and create and maintain test verification and validation test plans and test reports. Establish appropriate reporting and traceability. Support Current-product & Software team in testing or advisory. Lead knowledge management and standardization for testing methods and practices. Carrying out functional and regression testing, both manual and automated. Integrating existing and new automated regression tests into GitLab CI/CD. Providing technical leadership to our cross-functional agile product development teams. What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education) We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has: Required Experience

Experience & understanding of theory, concept and application of sensing/locating systems or connected devices. Creating Integrated end-to-end test plans and report writing. Enthusiastic technologist, able to demonstrate a broad technical knowledge. V model and CI/CD. HALT, Electro-mechanical testing, Climatic testing & Failure Analysis. Test Automation. DOE, FEMA, DFSS, quality assurance (QA) experience. Strong understanding of QA methodologies. Experience developing and executing automated tests using tools such as Cucumber or Postman (or able to demonstrate suitable transferable skills). Compliance Testing.
