A little bit about the role... We have a brand new opportunity for a Senior Surveyor to join our Commercial Department, to lead with all partnerships projects. You’d take sole ownership of managing the administration and commercial interest of Weston Homes across all upcoming Partnership Developments, including the procurement and management of subcontractors to achieve the best value to a programme whilst protecting the business contractually and providing accurate financial forecasting.
You will be responsible for... The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Advise on specification and technical relating to commercial matters
Review, advise and comment on JCT contracts
Monitor production of information and advise on financial feasibility of design
Tender process – enquiries, scope of works, analysis, negotiation and placement of orders
Attend Pre-development, Pre-start, Post contract, Design and Project Team meetings as required.
Prepare and chair meetings including but not limited to Subcontract and Project Coordination meetings
Ensure procurement of subcontractors and materials to programme and budget
Ensure subcontractors are approved in accordance with procedures
Monthly production of CostCo
Familiar with contract documentation to ensure a working knowledge
Management and development of trainee and assistant members of the commercial team

What we'd like in return... As a successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
Extensive understanding and knowledge of JCT Contracts
BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (Desirable)
RC Frame knowledge adventurous but not essential
High level of analytical skills
Full UK Driving Licence (willingness to travel to variable site locations)
CSCS Card
