Responsibilities: Provide technical support in the principles, techniques and practices of mechanical engineering, electrical/electronics engineering and/or naval architecture as they relate to aircraft carrier hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E), aviation and electronic shipboard systems. These tasks require extensive knowledge in the area of aircraft carrier maintenance philosophy, ship installation drawings, RCM principles and ship operations as well as the ability to organize data in a cohesive manner to submit findings for evaluation and action. Provide technical support for the development, management, and refinement of the non-nuclear CMP, BAWPs, and modernization for execution during CVN availabilities. Requires ensuring technical requirements, periodicities, and associated configuration are current within each assigned CMP maintenance requirement. Collect, manage, and analyze data (e.g., maintenance, risk, material condition) of specified systems or components based on specific criteria and submit findings for evaluation and action. Assist in the development of life-cycle strategies for aircraft carrier distributive systems and select components. Develop, maintain, and report metrics as required. Requirements Bachelor’s level degree in Mechanical Engineering. Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance. Minimum of five years of experience working with CVN Availabilities and Navy Modernization Process. Experience with Data Analytics. Working knowledge of Navy Organizations. Must be capable of working within a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Desired Skills Data analytics & maintenance and modernization experience related to aircraft carriers, naval ships, or large ship design, construction, or maintenance.
