ICP is seeking a highly skilled

Plant Maintenance Engineer

for our Seaford, DE plant. We are seeking a skilled Plant Engineer to oversee the maintenance, efficiency, and improvement of plant machinery and systems. This role ensures the plant's mechanical and electrical equipment operates safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will also contribute to process optimization and uphold safety and compliance standards. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Develop, implement, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for plant machinery and equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery issues, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize downtime. Coordinate and perform repairs, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Maintain a detailed record of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or upgrades. Monitor and improve plant systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new machinery or plant upgrades. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Develop and implement safety protocols related to machine operation and maintenance. Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments for plant machinery and infrastructure. Work closely with production and quality teams to address equipment-related challenges. Train and support maintenance staff on proper equipment usage and safety practices. Assist in the development of budgets and schedules for maintenance and capital projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field). Proven experience as a Plant Engineer or Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of machinery maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems. Background in automation with an understanding of PLC integration. Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in industrial environments, including confined spaces and heights. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and using hand tools.
