About the job This is your chance to work for the UK's premier test engineering company who supply cutting-edge test and measurement solutions to some of the world’s leading high-tech manufacturers. This role will report directly to the Production Manager and forms a key part of the Production Team. The successful candidate will be tasked with taking drawings and works orders from our Engineering Team as well as service and warranty requests and producing/testing high-quality product assemblies. This will involve the use of both consumer off-the-shelf components as well as parts manufactured by our suppliers. This important role will provide an opportunity to produce and work on a wide range of bespoke products and test equipment. Candidates must have a history of success in similar roles, be self-motivated, and have a passion for quality engineering and assembly. Hours:

37.5 per week. Flexi-time between 7am and 6pm. Benefits:

22 days plus stats, extra day for every year of service from 5 years up to a max of 5, Westfield Health, Pension, free charging points for Electric/Hybrid Vehicles. Roles and Responsibilities Follow the correct manufacturing process and controls for production. Assembly of one-off electrical cabinets, control panels, cable harnesses, and breakout boxes. Work from engineering drawings and provide feedback on errors or improvement suggestions. Inspection of assembled items. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, equipment, and resources, reporting any issues to the Line Manager. Contribute to team effort, using skill sets and experience as required. Key Requirements Experience in working within an Industrial/Engineering environment is essential. Ability to assemble and inspect products to a high standard. Ability to perform complex electrical operations involving wiring and soldering. Awareness/understanding of manufacturing processes. The ability to work on own initiative when required and contribute as a team player. A basic level of PC skills, mainly in Excel and Outlook. Experience in a similar role. Good communication skills. Able to work as part of a multi-skilled production team. Sociable style with good drive and dedication. Non-Essential (Desirable) Criteria Test and automation background. IPC620 & J-STD-001 trained. Previous experience in the aerospace and defence industry. Proven track record of bespoke test equipment. Experience of Electrical Testing. Experience of PCB Assembly.
