Planning and Airworthiness Verification Engineer

Based in Luton

Purpose of the position:

The Planning and Airworthiness Verification Engineer reports directly to the Senior Technical Services Manager and supports her/him in establishing and maintaining the Wizz Air UK’s airworthiness standards.

Responsibilities:

Support MAINTROL in review maintenance delays, aircraft system problems to suggest improvements within maintenance procedures to achieve higher dispatch reliability. Communicate, coordinate with WUK’s SCAMT Engineering provider and supervise their activities. Review on daily basis (in AMOS) the performed work-packages from previous nightstop for correctness and compliance with the airworthiness and CAMO requirements. Review the scanned work-packages for correctness. Verifying the airworthiness technical records. Managing and reviewing/verifying the planning activities Manage the fleet modification plan (EO/Mod/Tasks etc) liaising with SCAMT (FLT) and AMO providers Liaising with the SCAMT providers for AMP and RRB preparation. Assist with continuous process improvement to ensure effective communication and cooperation between Maintenance Providers, and SCAMT providers. Contribute to revisions of company manuals and procedures. Support the Technical Services Manager to manage the AD, SB, Modification assessment and approval process. Participate in technical investigations related to Mandatory and Voluntary Occurrence Reports, in support of Wizz Air UK’s Management System. Participate in resolving compliance monitoring audit findings. Provide immediate assistance, advice and technical support to the Technical Services Manager. Liaise with Planning, MAINTROL, Engineering departments and AMOs on a daily basis. Support the Senior Technical Services Manager to manage the AD, SB, Modification assessment and approval process Co-operate with the UK CAA and CAMO Safety and Compliance Manager in their surveillance and auditing duties and ensure that all non-conformities with established procedures and standards are corrected in an appropriate and timely manner Ensure that all applicable maintenance data required to establish the methods, techniques, standards and instructions to be employed in maintaining the airworthiness of Wizz Air UK’s aircraft, is acquired, kept current and correct, and made available to all persons involved in the performance of continuing airworthiness activities for Wizz Air, including subcontracted and contracted Providers. Participate in technical investigations related to Mandatory and Voluntary Occurrence Reports, in support of Wizz Air UK’s Safety Management System (SMS)

Requirements:

Engineering Aeronautical degree (BSc, MSc..) with 3 years relevant experience in CAMO/Engineering/AOC environment. Airbus A320 Training and experience in aircraft systems Knowledge of UK CAA and EASA regulations. Very good knowledge and expertise in AMOS Creative thinking, attention to details
