Compass Point Recruitment, on behalf of a client based in Needham Market, is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join their production team. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced FMCG environment, within a relatively small team. With the business rapidly growing, the ideal candidate will bring a hands-on, proactive approach to managing both machinery and staff, working closely with the Production Manager. We are looking for someone who leads by example, with strong attention to detail and a great work ethic. Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily production to meet targets and ensure correct machinery setup. Troubleshoot machinery issues to minimize downtime. Lead and support production operatives, providing training and guidance. Foster a positive work environment and teamwork. Ensure product quality and implement control checks. Enforce health and safety standards. Identify and implement improvements to production efficiency. Manage stock levels and handle shipments and pallets. Maintain accurate production records and update management. Adapt to staffing and production changes as needed. Requirements:
Experience in FMCG and HACCP is essential. Proven team leadership experience. Level 2 Food Safety and HACCP certification. Machinery knowledge preferred but not essential (training provided). Knowledge of the VFFS Vertical Form Fill System is preferred but not essential. Hands-on working style with strong attention to detail. Forklift skills (current license not required) for handling shipments and pallets. Benefits:
