to join their team due to expansion. Company Summary
My client is a well-established Iron foundry based in Brixham, Devon. They have been manufacturing Iron casting up to 1000kgs from its current site since 1948; its origins, however, can be traced back to before the war. Their flexible production methods enable them to produce a wide range of castings from pumps to compressors and clutch housings to filter casings, but specialising in manufacturing rotary valves and diverters for the powder and bulk handling industries. Role Summary
We are looking for a
Foundry Maintenance Engineer
who will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all foundry equipment and facilities. This role ensures the continuous and efficient operation of machinery and systems, minimising downtime and maximising productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience in a foundry or similar industrial environment. Candidates will need to have: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree). Demonstrable maintenance experience in a foundry or similar industrial environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Experience working with PLCs and automation systems.
