Mechanical Design Engineer - Bespoke Automation x2 35,000 - 50,000 Is The Business For You? Our client is part of a prestigious global engineering group and is considered a market leader in designing, developing, and manufacturing bespoke equipment and automation for the aerospace industry. They have a meticulous approach to detail, forming a solid platform for delivering the production of high-quality, high-specification equipment. Key Responsibilities Support the Mechanical Engineering department and the Sales department as requested. Act as a lead engineer on projects when required, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful delivery of all design projects while adhering to company policies and business regulations. Utilize strong knowledge of general physics laws and mathematics for problem-solving. Develop new concepts and products to satisfy customer market needs. Be proficient with 3D design tools for modeling ideas into technical plans and schemes. Communicate ideas clearly and effectively to ensure understanding among non-engineering personnel. Collaborate within the ME department and with colleagues from other departments. Work primarily in the design office, with some time spent visiting customers and/or suppliers. Exhibit an inquiring and problem-solving mindset, creativity, and proficiency with design software (mainly CATIA V5). Experience / Background Required: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field. Experience leading design projects. Experience working with machinery and automation equipment. Highly proficient with 3D software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or Inventor. Good knowledge of GD&T and FEA. Excellent communication skills.
