CAD Designer

to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models to bring our unique lodge designs to life, ensuring exceptional quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities: Design Development: Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for lodge designs using CAD software (Revit and Agacad). Develop SIP-specific designs utilizing AGACAD for accurate panel layouts, joinery, and assembly specifications. Translate architectural concepts and specifications into precise technical drawings. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and interior designers to develop design concepts that align with client requirements. SIP Panel Design: Create detailed manufacturing designs and layouts for Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), ensuring accurate measurements and material specifications. Work with the manufacturing team to streamline the production of SIP panels. Ensure all designs are optimized for cost-effectiveness. Custom Lodge Design: Design layouts, floor plans, elevations, and details for bespoke lodge projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and manufacturing standards. Incorporate innovative features to enhance functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability of lodges. Technical Documentation: Prepare production-ready technical drawings for manufacturing teams, including material specifications and construction details. Maintain accurate records of design revisions and version control for all projects. Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers to ensure designs meet deadlines, budget constraints, and technical feasibility. Provide support during construction and manufacturing processes, addressing design-related queries. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular checks to ensure design accuracy and adherence to company standards. Evaluate and incorporate feedback from the buyer, production manager and engineers to refine designs. Requirements Essential: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Revit and Agacad). Strong technical drawing and 3D modeling skills. Experience in architectural, interior, or industrial design (preferably within the lodge or modular building industry). Knowledge of building codes, manufacturing processes, and material specifications. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Desirable: Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, Engineering, Product Design, or a related field. Experience with sustainable design and materials.
