As an Environmental Advisor reporting to the Environmental Manager, your key tasks and responsibilities in this role will include:
Conducting environmental inspections and audits of sites.
Providing assistance to senior and divisional management regarding environmental issues.
Managing ISO 14001:2015 Certified Environmental Management Systems daily.
Monitoring compliance with Environmental Licences, Permits, and Planning Permissions for sites.
Identifying staff training needs and providing environmental training as required.
Identifying improvements in environmental performance and developing programmes for performance improvement.
Assisting in developing and implementing sustainability programmes within the company.
Assisting with biodiversity improvement programmes and liaising with external parties on biodiversity-related schemes.
Ensuring compliance with Company Health & Safety Policies and liaising with the group H&S department as necessary.
Requirements for this role:
A third level qualification in an environmental discipline, with post-graduate experience in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience of operating within the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems standard, 3rd party audit experience, and experience of operating within a regulated environment (i.e., IPPC, PPC).
