CHP Field Service Engineer Job Overview
Day-to-day operations and maintenance including but not limited to fault diagnosis, location, and rectification. Planned maintenance and breakdown response for the generator sets with minimum outages. A commitment to continuous enhancement of skills and knowledge, and that of the technicians working with you. Seek guidance and advice from the Engineering and Management team in anything you are unsure of. Avoiding unnecessary expenditure by using skills and tools available. Ensuring a stock of basic spare parts as detailed by the Area Supervisor is replenished and always to hand should there be a breakdown. A commitment to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental practices following all procedures and using your own judgement. Reducing the company's reliance on contractors wherever this is economically prudent. Compliance and implementation of company protection procedures with a proactive approach to maintaining, monitoring, reporting, and auditing. Extensive knowledge and experience of Electrical, Heat, and Mechanical maintenance. Experience with electric control systems 12v DC - 415v AC 30ø. Gassafe accreditation (or ability to complete accreditation within probation). Experience working with Landfill Gas/specialist fuels/generators is advantageous. Full Driving Licence.
