What you will do Reporting to the Facilities Operations Manager Manage the maintenance and switching of high voltage equipment (through 3rd party where required) and to produce HV/LV switching plans to allow both HV and LV system maintenance without interrupting the manufacturing facility Management of CHP maintenance and uptime Own, operate and maintain HV and LV main distribution including protection, PFC and SPDs Own, operate and commission site BMS/SCADA systems Carry out on job training of shift and other personnel on site (technicians and other engineers) Produce weekly energy reports and analysis of data including energy, effluent and operational Specification, design and commissioning of control panels and systems Specify maintenance requirements for equipment under ownership Write operational and performance specification for electrical and control systems including commissioning plans Actively contribute to the departments various meetings and boards including management of change, 8D, FMEA and environmental/energy reviews Assist in problem solving when requested by personnel both inside and outside of the facilities department Administer, interrogate and update CMMS system to schedule and record various maintenance activities Report writing What you will need Understanding of various items of plant operation including VFDs, motors, boilers, chillers, HVAC, pumps, and vacuum systems Ability to read, produce and understand electrical and mechanical drawings including P&IDs and flow diagrams Experience and understanding of working with pneumatic systems A good understanding of both electrical and control/instrumentation systems Ability to fault find on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic control systems to a high level Ability to interact at all levels and to carry out presentations to senior management if required Familiarity with air conditioning systems including humidity and room pressure controls Experience within a facilities management or building services environment Knowledge of current electrical regulations and how these are to be applied Knowledge and ability to use various common software packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Apprentice trained or appropriate experience Educated to degree level or similar in an electrical and/or controls discipline Certificate in safety systems eg, NEBOSH, IOSH, etc. Basic understanding of air conditioning and humidification control systems Understanding of DI water and pH correction systems Appreciation of energy management and an eagerness to improve energy and environmental performance across site Basic understanding of SPC and how it can be used to monitor and improve control of facilities systems Understanding of various problem investigation techniques including 8D and FMEA Knowledge of and experience in using predictive maintenance techniques including VA and Thermal imaging
