Core experience for this Development Manager role: Proven experience in leading and mentoring software development teams, including Power BI specialists. Strong technical expertise in Power BI and data visualisation, with additional knowledge of Java and JEE technologies. A track record of managing full-lifecycle software development projects in complex environments. Solid understanding of software engineering principles and Agile or Scrum project management methodologies. Excellent communication skills for bridging technical concepts with business needs. Previous experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable.
Core Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary development team, including Power BI Developers and software engineers specialising in other technologies. Oversee the entire software development lifecycle: planning, design, development, testing, and deployment. Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather and define project requirements, goals, and timelines. Drive the delivery of high-quality software and analytics solutions that exceed customer expectations. Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
