We are seeking a dedicated Educational Software Support Specialist to join our team.
In this role, you will provide consultancy and exceptional support for SIMS and Arbor products to over 700+ schools. Your responsibilities will include supporting the SIMS and Arbor platforms and advising schools on issues related to pupil attainment and school effectiveness through software usage.
Whether working remotely or face-to-face with schools, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing educational outcomes through the use of these essential software packages.
This is a hybrid role based at our Staffordshire site at least two days a week, with some travel required to schools to deliver face-to-face support (travel to schools is fully expensed). Job Description: What you'll be doing: Maintain an awareness of the services, LA or Department of Education developments and relevant legislation, statutory obligations and advise customers (and/or partners) accordingly. Provide a range of SIMS consultancy, on-site school support, office-based and remote support and training services to schools, encouraging the development of customer skills and championing the most effective use of SIMS software to raise pupil attainment and improve school effectiveness. Ensure effective communication with schools and other third-party providers. Deliver training as required to a wide range of ability levels. Resolve problems relating to SIMS and ARBOR support in a timely and effective manner by telephone, remote support or site visit. Assist in the design and delivery of technical training and seminars to Entrust customers, users and staff. What we're looking for: Proven experience in a related role. Support specific areas of SIMS and Arbor ensuring knowledge is informed and up-to-date, and documentation, processes and internal staff training are current. Experience of SIMS/Arbor or similar packages. Experience of Reporting functions within similar packages, alongside broader functionality. Develop, design and update documentation and key information within specific subject areas and disseminate to both customers and Capita Entrust colleagues through appropriate lines of communication. Committed to customer-focused service delivery. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Professional approach with a positive attitude to delivering high-quality work. Strong communication skills - both verbal and written communication and a good telephone manner. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and cloud-based services - i.e. Office 365, Google. Current and clean full driving licence and use of a car as visiting schools is a must. The successful applicant will require security clearance (i.e. DBS checked). What's in it for you?
