Talk to us about how we can best support you! The Cloud Platform and SRE (CPS) Department is seeking an experienced engineer to join a growing team with exciting opportunities ahead. We are looking for a candidate who has a strong background in Cloud Engineering principles and a solid understanding of SRE methodology. This role will involve working within the cloud central platform teams and will play a key part in enabling Kingfisher’s engineering capabilities. What's the job?

Be responsible for building, operating, and improving the central cloud platforms through the environment life cycle to production, which is to be consumed by engineering and business teams. This involves networking, identity, security, and other enabling features such as Backup and DR service. Guide product teams on cloud technologies and ways of working, advising on the correct way of building applications in the cloud using Well Architected Pillars. Automation is key and is strongly implemented through all parts of the services as much as possible; pipelines, to setting up monitoring and alerting. Collaborative approach to enhance and enrich the platform by working with the Tech Leads, Stakeholders and Business Leaders. Investigating new technologies, patterns and approaches and providing recommendations to roadmap items. Take part in Agile methodology in either Scrum or Kanban. Support the team by contributing your opinions, successes, and feedback. What you'll bring

Good knowledge of cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure) with a focus on networking, security, and writing Infrastructure as Code. A strong technical background in using development tools such as Git, Terraform, GitLab CI, etc. Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to investigate issues and apply fixes throughout the development lifecycle. Experience in utilizing Cloud Engineering practices to enable Continuous Delivery. Ability to communicate efficiently when working with vendors, developers, and business teams. Desirable experience and knowledge: Experience in security concepts and tools. Understanding of Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu). Knowledge of networking concepts, technologies, and protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, as well as technologies like Palo Alto and F5. Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for collaboration and knowledge sharing. Automation skills in testing, scripting (Bash/Python), pipelines, and utilities. Experience in monitoring and alerting.
